So, something happened on The View the other day. Something that people are freaking out about. Something that when I first saw I was freaking out about. I said it was in The View right? Even with that going against it, I couldn’t not get excited about a Sister Act 25 year reunion.
I love music. A lot. I love wholesome comedy. So as a kid, no shame, Sister Act was kind of my jam. I watched both 1 and 2 approximately a million times. I owned both sound tracks too! I’m not kidding guys, it was my jam. So when everyone was saying how awesome it was I couldn’t wait to click play on the link.
Sometimes, though, things that are supposed to be awesome aren’t and when it comes to nostalgia people are afraid to admit that. So to gain some credibility in that department I’m here to tell you, please don’t watch the replay of the nuns singing on the View. Whoopi sounded off. Kathy Najimy either lost her voice, or lost her voice; and in case you didn’t know Wendy Makkena was the only nun in the movie not to actually sing her part. Of course she’s the one they invited to the SINGING reunion, not the talented Andrea Robinson. It was like watching a 7 year reunion of the (by that time too old) howling dogs from Lady and the Tramp… get it, cuz dog years are different… anyway
- TLDR the girls from the 90s classic Sister Act got back together to sing a song on The View, it was terrible, and Tim was massively disappointed
